CEO of CACL Inc.Junichi Okuyama

After graduating from Shizuoka University Faculty of Education, he joined a foreign-affiliated comprehensive human resource service company and was assigned to the Kanazawa branch office.
During his sales period, he felt frustrated at not being able to help companies when they asked him for advice on hiring people with disabilities.

In 2012, he established Visto Inc. Ltd. and started an employment support business for people who feel disconnected from society.
In September 2022, at the 10th anniversary of its establishment, Visto Co., Ltd. was transferred to KH Holdings (now Michiruwa Group Inc.) He served as a director of Michiruwa Group Inc. from November 2023 to August 2024.

Founded CACL Inc. in 2023 based in Nomi City in Ishikawa Prefecture which is famous for Kutani ware. CACL aims to create a society where everyone can live life passionately.

I started a disability welfare business in 2012. This was because my mother suffered from an intractable disease, which triggered my strong desire to “create a society where everyone can work with vigor and vitality through creating an environment and system that facilitates work for people with disabilities. I pursued this goal for 10 years at Visto Corporation, a disability welfare company I founded myself. I continued to study and achieve success. However, there were areas where I felt the limitations of the existing system.

It was during this time that I had the opportunity to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on a private trip. Being exposed to contemporary art and understanding the message of the artists so powerfully, broadened my perspective. I was moved and shaken by the power of art. After my visit to Antelope, I had a stronger realization that art is beautiful and highly artistic in its mere being and existence.

These experiences led me to the realization and conviction that through art, we can create a colorful world in which everyone can live vibrantly.

Art reminded me of Kutani ware. When I visited a Kutaniyaki gallery run by a friend of mine in the past.

I was strongly impressed by “Kutani Gosai” (Five Colors of Kutani) a vividly colored work of art. Pottery is created from natural products such as stone and clay. It was the moment when my impressions in New York and Antelope were connected with Kutani ware.

Reframing Opportunities and Connections

Reframing refers to taking things from a certain framework and looking at them differently.
The mirrored “CL” in CACL expresses the mission of “providing opportunities for reframing”. In addition, the design is based on the connection between people, art, culture, and society through CACL’s activities.
