A Hashi Stand workshop was held at the Daiwa House Royal Association Cultural Meeting.

The workshop was a great success with 53 participants. We were surprised and very grateful that so many people could participate.

First of all, Mr. Okuyama, the representative of Rediscover project, explained about the project.

We were most pleased that so many people deeply empathized with our efforts to breathe new life into items that were to have been discarded.

Everyone was enthusiastically creating their own original art piece. It was very impressive to see the participants earnestly selecting colors and shapes while using their five senses.

One man created a piece while thinking of his wife, another chose a piece of pottery while imagining his daily dining table, and so on.

It was not just a hands-on event, but a time to reconfirm each other’s humanity and give shape to their thoughts and feelings.
