CACL, a provider of continuous employment support services for people with disabilities, opens a business space in a local company.

April.07.2025

On April 1, 2025, CACL Corporation opened “CACL Job Square in Komatsu Matere” as a work space on the premises of Komatsu Matere Corporation, which has its headquarters and production plant in the local city of Nomi.

In this project, CACL will be entrusted with cleaning work on the premises of Komatsu Matere, and users with mental, developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities (hereinafter “users”) will work together with our support staff. The goal is to provide a practical work experience that is more similar to general employment by having the support staff work in an actual corporate environment.

How CACL Job Square in Komatsu Matere was established

However, they face various problems such as low wages, difficulty in securing work, low transition to general employment, and lack of contact with society. CACL has been seeking to create an environment in which people with disabilities can build careers in their own way through cooperation with neighboring companies.

Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd. has long employed people with disabilities, but the number of people approaching retirement age has been increasing, and the company has been considering the creation of a new system to accommodate them and to create jobs that suit their characteristics.

Against this backdrop, we decided to open “CACL Job Square in Komatsu Matere” as a place where people can work in a practical and secure environment on the company’s premises. Users will be able to apply for jobs at general companies in the future, or continue working as employees of Komatsu Matere Co.
